CES 2013: Lenovo introduces compact convertible Ultrabook Yoga 11S
Lenovo has unveiled at CES 2013 new, especially handy mobile companion with touchscreen and Windows 8. When 11S IdeaPad Yoga is a convertible Ultrabook with 11.6-inch display, Ivy Bridge processor and so-called "multi-mode" functionality
The IdeaPad Yoga 11S and ideapad y450 battery has as its closest relatives through a particularly moving display hinge, which helps rotate the screen almost at will and can tilt. Thus the device four modes are available, including the notebook and the tablet mode. The other two called Lenovo as "state" and "Tent".
The unveiling weighs 1.4 kg and according to the manufacturer is 17.2 millimeters thick. The 11.6-inch display with 1,366 x resolves to 768 pixels, and uses IPS technology is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass from unpleasant minor injuries.
Inside the Yoga 11S and ideapad y430 battery is an Intel Core processor of the third generation type Core i5 or Core i7. Intel's CES press conference was to learn already, that it should be installed at the chip at one of the upcoming CPU models with 7-watt TDP. For the graphic display of the integrated GPU Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor is responsible.
In addition, donated the Lenovo Yoga 11S and ThinkPad sl410 battery up to 8 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM, SSDs with up to 256 gigabytes of storage, an HD webcam, and support for Wi-Fi b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0
The Convertible Ultrabook will provide up to 6 hours of ThinkPad t400 battery life. An external interfaces, the device has 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, HDMI, a 2-in-1 card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga aims to offer 11S from June 2013 in the colors "Silver Grey" and Clementine Orange "on the German market. The manufacturer suggested retail prices will be announced shortly before the official market launch.
